About the role

As a Manager of User Acquisition here at Fortis, you will spearhead strategies to drive user growth across our portfolio of games. This pivotal role combines the art of digital marketing with the science of paid advertising, requiring a blend of creativity, analytical prowess, and a deep understanding of the gaming landscape. You will eventually lead a dedicated team of 2-3 specialists, fostering an environment of innovation and performance excellence. Your mission will be to not only captivate new audiences but to redefine the standards of user acquisition in the mobile gaming space.

What you’ll achieve

  • ​​Strategic Leadership: 
    • Develop and execute a comprehensive user acquisition strategy that aligns with our company's growth objectives. Your strategies will be data-driven, adaptable, and innovative, ensuring our games stand out in a competitive market
  • Early Market Validation: 
    • Take a leading role in validating early game concepts by designing and implementing experiments that gauge market interest and potential user engagement. Your insights will be crucial in shaping the development and marketing strategies for new game launches
  • Creative Collaboration: 
    • Engage in close collaboration with creative leads to foster idea generation and optimize creative performance. Together, you'll craft compelling narratives and visual elements that resonate with our target audience, enhancing the impact and efficiency of our user acquisition campaigns
  • Campaign Management: 
    • Oversee the creation, execution, and optimization of campaigns across all major paid social and ad networks, including Google Ads and Facebook Ads Manager, Unity, Applovin and among others. You'll ensure that our campaigns are creative, targeted, and effective, maximizing ROI, scalability and engagement
  • Experiment: 
    • Research, test, and discover new channels to improve growth efforts across marketing channels to stay ahead of the competition
  • Team Development: 
    • Lead, mentor, and expand your team, fostering an environment of continuous learning and improvement. You will be responsible for setting clear goals, providing feedback, and supporting the professional growth of your team members
  • Analytics and Insights:
    •  Leverage industry-leading tools to analyze performance data, extract actionable insights, and refine strategies accordingly. Your decisions will be backed by a deep understanding of market trends, campaign analytics, and user behavior
  • Collaboration and Influence: 
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product development, creative, and analytics, to ensure a cohesive approach to user growth. Your ability to communicate effectively and drive alignment will be key to your success

What you’ll need to be successful

  • Proven Experience: 
    • Minimum of 5-7 years in digital marketing and user acquisition, with a strong preference for experience in the mobile gaming industry. Your track record should demonstrate significant user growth achievements and mastery of paid advertising strategies
  • Technical Expertise: 
    • Hands-on experience with industry-leading advertising platforms and analytics tools. You should be comfortable navigating complex datasets and translating data into strategic decisions. Understanding of mobile marketing ad tech: game measurement tools, attribution providers, programmatic advertising, fraud, etc
  • Leadership Skills: 
    • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team. You should possess strong mentoring abilities and a commitment to developing talent within your team
  • Creative and Analytical Balance: 
    • A unique blend of creativity and analytical thinking. You should be adept at crafting compelling campaigns and equally skilled at measuring their impact 
  • Adaptability: 
    • The mobile gaming landscape is fast-paced and ever-changing. You should thrive in dynamic environments and be able to pivot strategies quickly in response to new trends and data insights
  • Communication: 
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. You'll need to articulate complex strategies to diverse stakeholders and lead through influence
